3.10 Dependency graphs

Another useful feature is the dependency graph. SDML works out which rules might be dependent on others so it can fire the rules in a near optimal order.

Select the Initial week rulebase of the ModelAgent and use the command button in the Rule names: pane to browse dependencies.

You will see that it has grouped them into three green rectangles. the lines between the groups show the dependency relation between the rules (the rule to the left is always dependent on the one to the right).

Select one of the lines (so it turns red) and select the explain dependencies command and you will get a panel explaining the connection between the two rules.
