When I discover something new, and after much effort, finally gain
a penetrating understanding of the world and my relation to it,
THAT'S my eureka; to induce it, without such a reason for its
being, by mental mediturbation, cheapened the experience for me.
That's why I quit doing it. I don't have time in a finite life to waste
contemplating nothing, or my navel, or my heartbeat or breath.
There are more crucial things to contemplate during the passage of
such irreplaceable chunks of my life. When I get the eureka
experience, it's for a good, genuine and authentic reason.
