    I would call this an instance in which the launchers were caught and roundly
    criticised by intended recipients, not one where the meme turned on its
    launchers.

            Well there was the George "subliminable" Bush campaign ad abouts
    bureaucRATS. But that may just be that it was a dumb idea in the first
    place....
