It is the categorisation method you need (or more so HAVE); the making of
1:many distinctions. Your emphasis on being an individual makes you
DIFFERENT to other individuals but SAME at the level of being a member of
the species. The culture will then apply SAMENESS to you through 'boxing'
you using such typology systems as the MBTI, Astrology, the Big 5 etc rtc
thus the culture tries to determine your (their?) SAMENESS within your
DIFFERENCE.
Your rejection of SAMENESS (as in sharing things in common with others, as
you do on this list :-)) suggests a more self-contained individual
preferring loose association with others. Thus to yourself you are SAME but
that is only when comparing yourself to yourself! (who is doing the
comparisions? someone DIFFERENT? ) :-)
The SAMENESS/DIFFERENCE dichotomy is fundamental to all of us and by
applying it recursively so emerges states of being, expressions of being,
that are categorisable. Thus although you are unique in expressions
(DIFFERENT), behind the expressions, which are local, are species/culture
related influences of SAMENESS which can be categorised as non-local. These
species/culture influences are in the form of laws, principles etc and are
the targets for scientific research, to discover the SAMENESS within the
DIFFERENCES.

From a cultural perspective 'they' look at you to see themselves, they look
to see the SAMENESS in your apparent DIFFERENCE (as in how you, how each
individual, expresses themselves). You, on the other hand, say you seek the
DIFFERENCE behind the SAMENESS, both in 'their' SAMENESS and YOUR
differences?
Your emphasis suggests you seek DIFFERENT expressions, DIFFERENT sensations
which implies you are more ASPECTS oriented.
To resolve these DIFFERENCES answer two questions (*think about them first*)
(1)Do you prefer facts to values; would you easily surrender a value if
presented with a fact? (ans: FACT or VALUE)
(2)Do you prefer 'what WAS/IS/WILL BE' or 'what COULD HAVE BEEN/is NOT/COULD
BE'? (ans: WILL or COULD)
best,
Chris.
