<<Lawrence, in addition to my previous post here are some more ideas
how about we can explore the self-building via memes concept.
1_Romulus and Remus,
A she-wolf and a woodpecker suchled and feed them. ( What about memes
here, hein !?)
They were found and brought up by a herdsman and his wife, who had in
all respect quit other memes than the upper social class where both children
were born in.
They become leaders of a band of adventurous youths and eventually,
recognized as the grandsons of Nunitor.Later they founded the city of Rome.
Memetic engineering !? They had inborn needs and desires from the social
class where out they originates, these were changed by the herdsman and
his wife and by the way they lived. Later on these were once again changed
after they put her grandfather back on the trone. Or something like that !
2_Other examples, are in my view, Tarzan (not the film character, but the
one of Greystoke.)
Memetic engineering here !? As a little boy abanded in the jungle, raised
by apes he learned the language of nature, the language of the jungle.
Later in his life he had to learn our human language and went back to the
society where he did originates out. Not simple for a half-ape !
3_L' enfant sauvage, or a wolfs-child, anyway I didn' t find the right term
for it, but I think they found such a child in the woods of France.
Memetic engineering !?
Same as tarzan I suppose, special memes should be designed to give it
some sense of humanity.
4_The same can aply for the character of Nel (played by Jodie Foster)
After a dramatic event in her life she communicates in her own designed
language.
Memetic engineering, same as Tarzan I think.
5_Building confidience is another example.
Memetic engineering !? You have to pep-talk yourself up, what do you
want more from memes than that !?
6_Depression by children, a child at some stage down the line to become
depressed will judge itself_engineering memetically itself. Is that a
conscient process, I don't know ! If it is, a whole new perspective is
needed to understand how children see themselves, I presume !
7_Exaggeration,engineering yourself is that !! To build the identity of
some-
one special memes are released. Is that also a conscient process !?
8_A ' fibber ' what a term ! Is someone who is lying all the time, conscient
of his doing !? Special memes are released and designed here to stand in
the middle of the picture, no !?
9_ Narcism, in that respect this has to be a conscient process, memes
are specially designed to shine all trought the surrounding of the subject.
Everything he or she does is memetical engineered to love him- or her-
self more/ better/ more intens/ ...
Hope you get fun with this,
Regards,
Kenneth
