Subject: RE: Media and Violence
Hi all,
An addition on the media and violence thread,
Now that Le Pen won the pre- selection for the French presidency the
media is to blame, so it seems.
The comments expressed the assumption that if the media did not made
the pre- selection into an exercise between Chirac and Jospin, Le Pen
would not have won. For the media the obvious race was between the
present president Chirac and his PM Jospin. Noone counted in Le Pen.
There are a lot of reasons which contradict this ( the good weather,
everybody thought the same as the media did, etc....).
Can we say the media is to blame or is this another urban legend of
some kind !?
Regards,
Kenneth
