I'm on real close terms with bad SF movies. The place and time of my first
excursion into higher education was at Southwestern College in Chula Vista
where Senator Steve Peace (as he is now known) made "Attack of the Killer
Tomatoes." In more real life, he was also responsible for helping write the
legislation that deregulated electricity in California -- something we all
ended up wishing were just bad science fiction. The only thing scarier than
having an actor in the White House is having a science fiction writer as a
congressman making laws.
