The Fatima children wrote a letter, inspired by the Marian
apparition, which was delivered to the Vatican. As I heard it, it
was supposed to be published in 1960 or something like that. It
was opened, but not published. (Has it been published recently?)
Anyway, in 1972 I heard that one of the prophecies in the letter
was that the throne of St. Peter would be vacant during this
century, and that was interpreted as an assassination of a pope.

    Best,

    Bill
