I dont know that there is such a bank in existence, however I do think that
the case for the existence of such a bank (which will keep track of memes as
they spread through human culture, check their intensity and power of
persuasion to this or that direction) is a strong one. the ideosphere of
human thought is indeed such a bank, and it is my opinion that ideas, like
fashion and fads, slogans and jingles operate in the noosphere like a stock
market. it may not be the most pleasant thought in the world, but we cannot
escape the fact that some humans known to have the " meme business knack"
are known to have an insignt into this elusive memebank stockmarket like
system and get on the ride. some we see in politics, others indeed in the
media, yet others sore like wild fire in the scientific community.
it is simply a different way to observe micro/macro system in operation.
hence memes are the trading options by which individuals in macro systems,
    win or loose the day.

Further more, I think that in the future of memetics lies a moment in which
such a tracking system will be put in place.

    Tyger.
