We worked on the design of such a memebank (I like the term!) but did not
implement it given the time and effort that we concluded it would require
to do it properly. Instead we tracked a handful of memes as best we
could, with the goal of understanding better the properties of memes that
affected their rate and intensity of spread. We also applied that with
another tool we've developed (the Panetic Conflict model) to track and
forecast the patterns of conflict in Bosnia and, now, Kossovo and
Columbine (the Littleton, Colorado school shooting).
Do you know other memebank efforts? It would be interesting to compare
technical notes.
Cheers,
- Lawrence
