Section 2 - Modules, Time Levels and Lists
2.14 Some Suggestions To Try
- Change the simulation so that it runs for a reasonable number of weeks and with more consumers.
- Add some sensible reporting to the text transcript.
- Try changing the model parameters (in Initial week rulebase) to ensure that firms make a reasonable profit some of the time.
- Change the rules that control who a consumer buys from and see the effect.
- Change the rules that control how producers set their prices and see the effect.
- Change the model so that the producers can change their process during the week based on sales so far or from looking at other producer's prices.
- Give producers a fixed amount of stock each week and allow consumers to buy from more than one producer.
- Extend the model in any other way you want - e.g. set the supply volume and see if you can get the market to clear.
