Could our actions be likewie facilitating the sentiment that the US has
helped us free ourselves from the repressive chains of the Taliban and
facilitated a new era in Afghanistan? Sympathizers of the Taliban, likely
amongst the Pashtuns, might not like us very much. Some of the Shiites and
non-Pashtun ethnic groups might almost adore us. One even wonders how Iran,
a recent historic despiser of the US might amend their views of US after we
crushed the Taliban and may have eased the situation for Shiites in
Afghanistan. Unfortunately Afghanistan remains a powder keg for ethnic
clashes, so anything could happen in the future.

    1. Our infidel military presence in Arabia which is home to Mecca and
    Medina.

2.Our support of Israel, a state upon its creation in the late 1940's, which
had its Jewish citizenry condemned to being driven into the sea.

When one wonders how some Brits (vs. US-ians) might think about the state of
Israel one might consider the Irgun mess under the British mandate. One
could ask why Irgun disliked the Brits so much. Would it parallel the
situation in Ulster in any way?
