    "Poor", yes, because that's an unfortunatel state to be in. "Stupid",
    no, because you have to quite intelligent to get yourself into that state,
    or at least fairly good at abstract conceptualisation.

    It's bog-standard, run-of-the-mill subjectivism, also known as philosophical
    idealism, resulting from scepticism with regard to reality. There is no
    refutation of it -- what most effectively counters it is good old-fashioned
    pragmatism: for the sake of our survival, we need to behave as if reality
    really exists, so we might as well believe in it.
