The most recent thing I've noticed would be those pesky pop-up windows which
you either minimize (-) or X-off the screen, if you're lucky. Those little
'1 message waiting for you' boxes can be distracting too. IIRC I've
encountered pop-ups which can't be escaped, at least not easily. Junk e-mail
pales in comparison.
