    Hi Robin Faichney --

    >Mutation is required for evolution

Yes, it is, especially in non-sexual forms.

    >To suppose that because sex allows
    >relatively rapid evolution, -

    - yes, I totally agree -

    >r.r. evol. requires sex, is illogical.

    - but I never asserted that.

'Sex', in biology's certain case (and we are not amoebae), is what gets
part of me into another, which might yield offspring, thus genetic
distribution and change. That sex moved biology into more and more varied
    forms is inescapable.

But what do I do to get 'me' into 'you', to produce _that_ offspring?

I think that (whatever it is) is what we are calling a 'meme' here and
    thereabouts.

And, yes, Joe, I would prefer that things like 'viral marketing' are
    called 'rape'.

    Spades are spades.

    - Wade
