Well, we are not judaic or even theological scholars here (and thank the
Random Quanta for that...), but, in many ways, the _culture_ of judaism
ain't changed at all- in fact, the culture of judaism is to erect pockets
of strong, insular, internal culture (the diaspora), wherever it finds
itself- erecting virtual walls against cultural infusion from the
immediate environment.
I really do think there is a vast and complex system here,
xianity/judaism/viral analogs- that is not addressed at all by marking
the one quality of propagation as an indicator of virality.
(Is virality a word...?)
