    For some reason, I found myself channel-hopping last night, and Teri
    Hatcher (an actress formerly Lois Lane on the TV show Lois and Clark and
    now a spokeswoman for Radio Shack stores) was on some talk show, and she
    mentioned this bizarre parasitism as an example of why she finds science
    and nature so fascinating.
