    That is interesting, hadn't thought of it that way.....that there is some form of dynamic closed loop system operating. So powerful memes (Like religious ones) change the nature of the feedback loop and make the system flip...hmm...the implication is that it is thus chaotic, and by corollary can flip between its "stable" states....explains my observed behaviour of zealotic types.
