    Greetings Wade and Richard,

Ideas 'in the brain' are not entirely hidden: we see them through the way a person expresses himself. No doubt the expression is not identical to the idea that it expresses, but it is close enough -- especially if one is trained in how to listen with accuracy, and how to interact with a person so as to elicit fairly accurate reflections of the ideas one is interested in -- to be quite usable. So we can not only know what ideas are in a person's mind, but we can track the expression of those ideas, and whether they are taken up by the mind of another.

    Cheers, Lawry
