    There is action and there is perception and there is cognition. There is between and there is within. There are meme transmissions, meme receptions, and meme storage, encoded in various ways (speaking, writing, neural nets, demonstration, etc.). There is the internal and the external. Without the cognitive encoding of memes in neutral nets, and their performative translation into myriad other encodings (speaking, writing, demonstration), communication cannot take place, and both the cognitive and the performative encodings of memes are required for this to transpire. It's not an either/or; it's a both/and.
