might I remind you that almost all of those deaths have been caused by US economic sanctions that do not allow iraq to purchase items such as chlorine to treat water or anti biotics. this has caused the death of more than 400,000 iraqi children alone in the past 12 years.

Don't you find it amazing that Sadam can find money and ways to import all the materials he needs to build some 100 palaces around Iraq, one of them the size of Wash. D.C. and outfit a huge army with guns, tanks and missiles but can't manage to import food and medical supplies for the people? I do. For that reason, I don't blame anyone but Sadam for the suffering and deaths of his people. He makes the judgements about where to spend his money and what gets imported into Iraq. The U.N. doesn't. They prohibit arms and military supplies but Sadam still manages to keep his army well supplied with them.
