I would say I would not have had, nor could I have deducted, any idea
that you were thinking of buying a house at all, unless you tell me
(perform) that you were.
Thus your not buying the house indeed has no meaning, to the time/space
of social performance, whatsoever, as it was not a player on that
field, thus it has no meaning to culture, thus it has no meaning to
memetics, which is the discovery of darwinian processes in cultural
transmission.
What is not performed is not created in cultural time/space, and cannot
be a player in the memetic field. Even the substitute players are
presented upon the bench for all to see, as sitting on a bench being
ready to play is also a performance in the time/space, but, not even
being there is not. In this case of yours, and in the case of Joe's
singing, there was not even a potential player evident upon a bench.
