Greetings, Kenneth,
I thought Marx was trying to create an socio-political-economic ideology
based on his idea of class warfare. I'm not sure what 'socialists' want, but
suspect that they too have an ideology. I am merely supporting the creation
of a better dialogue among various peoples. I would encourage participation
from people regardless of what ideology they may be committed to, provided
simply that they are interested in listening to others, and in being
listened to.
The term alignment suggests not that everyone will or must agree; rather it
has to do with taking the diversity that exists and seeing if, together, we
can't figure out a better way to proceed as a species. I agree that this
will be of no interest to anyone who feels content with the way the world is
going now. Nor will it appeal to the pessimists, though I suspect nothing
will appeal to a pessimist.
So I urge people who are realistically optimistic, and who feel that we
could be doing better, to join in.
Cheers,
Lawry
