perhaps the best thing for most other species would be for us to go extinct.
Rats and other human dependent pests might find our extinction a real pain
in the butt and who knows what would become of our lovable varieties of pets
(dog and cat breeds), but for those species on the brink, our disappearance
would be a blessing.
Boston harbor might eventually become pristine again.
