    Yes, this is what is being done in the study: in sum, the new meme has been created in an isolated test population, and their relevant behavior will be measured over time, and compared to the behavioral data of another isolated control population in which the meme has not been created.

    I think the methodology is solid. Now we have to wait and see what the results are, and what they indicate in terms of memetics.
