Passive resistance, civil disobedience, maybe taking pages out of the civil
rights movement book here in the U.S.
Bus bombings are NOT the answer. Neither is strapping oneself full of the
explosives the suicide bombers use and walking amongst a crowd of people.
That plays right into the hands of the Israeli hawks who can then tell the
Israeli public that security measures need to be stepped up. Israeli hawks
would have serious problems with peaceful demonstrations, especially if they
start cracking down on the protestors. If Israeli peaceniks joined in, this
could make a point that would play better to world opinion than blowing up a
bunch of people, especially if the Israeli security forces come out looking
like they are using excessive force. Add to this voices of moderation and
tolerance for Israel coming from Palestinian politicos and the Palestinians
will stand a far better chance of getting a state IMO.
