    Hi Tom.

    As some of the others have pointed out, memetics is a very wide area. My own
    concerns stem from social science, and principely how societies change. My
    opinion is that memetics is at the same stage as Darwin was with the Theory
    of Evolution. He did not know about genetics, just that creatures must have
    changed due to the environment around them over generations. For culture I
    would suggest that we know cultures change and memetics is one way of
    looking at this. Hence, as others have pointed out, it is difficult to know
    what to leave out when looking at culture and memetics.

    You could also start threads of your own :-)

    And of course, even when it is not 'on topic', it can often be informative
    or funny.
