If science is not a system of memes then Wade how would you call
scientific elements like:
E = mc^2 or F = ma or 'DNA is composed out of nucleotides' ?
If these things were not memetic how could they possibly disseminate
across the scientific community? Some, such as E = mc^2, even make it to
become known over virtually the entire human population. If that didn't
happen through memetic transmission then what else mechanism was
responsible?

If effective in some sense it may be that astrology exploits our viability
to
self-fulfilling prophecies. Humans have a tendency to cling to non-sensical
systems that give them a sense of security, albeit of a false kind of
course.
