    Interesting, and rather depressing, stuff Grant. Very little of this is
    making the news media in Britain at the moment- a couple of mentions of US
    troops in the Far East but not much more. Odd given British involvement in
    the region, particularly in Singapore and Malaysia (my Dad was stationed in
    Malaysia in the 1960s when he was in the Royal Engineers, he doesn't talk
    about it much though).
