    OK, maybe I was focusing too much (or misunderstanding what you meant) on
    what you had started of with your talk of totally receptive true acts of
    observation sans impeding thoughts (or though itself if that's possible).

    I doubt obervation can be made sans thought, unless you're a zombie. Plus,
    to be receptive implies the existence of receptors which will have their own
    preset biases, whether they are receptors for touch, taste, sight, hearing,
    smell or what have you.

    Evolution via selection has tuned the receptors and learning has tuned
    cognition.
