I know what you mean. Isn't there some academic somewhere (in Aus?)
who's argued almost the reverse, that dogs have manipulated us to further
their own environment (e.g. a ready supply of food that they don't have to
hunt for, a safe environment to raise young in). A bit like the Hitchhiker
stuff about mice performing sophisticated experiments on us.... :-)
