Millgram? It wasn't a long queue or a short queue, but numbers of
dots on paper IIRC, and administering electric shocks.

I think it was one of Asch's line experiments on social conformity. The
shills would form an expression regarding the observation of the lines that
was contrary to the evidence., and therefore contrary to what the subject
saw. The conformity, ie agreeing with the group was related to the group
size. Milgram's experiment with electric shocks was to do with the actions
of an individual in the presence of an authority figure. I was only obeying
orders had a ring of truth to it.
