    On my previous post I neglected to add that Messerly says Changeux focuses on *Limnaea* and its abilities to "exhibit multiple phenotypes" (p. 136). That's the part I ran with.

    I'm still unsure whether the terms cyclomorphosis or polyphenism/morphism are applicable or the moth example applies either as an analogous case. Sorry, I should have added this information before and thus my post was misleading in this respect.
