CFP for a Special Issue on Computational
Memetics
Papers are solicited for a special issue . The special issue will
focus on computational models of memetics, broadly conceived.
Example topics include:
-
simulation models of information evolution and transmission
-
computational culture
-
computational anthropology
-
formal models of memetics
-
computational social learning theory
-
computational approaches to the evolution of language
-
gene/culture co-evolution simulation
-
computer models of cognitive ecology
-
models of memetic activity on the internet
Although all papers on the above topics will be considered, particular
attention will be paid to submissions which:
-
lay out a formal model of the phenomena in question, and
-
support the model with computer-based simulation or other computational
methods.
Submissions are due by 15 September 2000.
It is anticipated that the special issue will be released before the end
of the year. All submissions should comport to the format and style requirement
outlined at:
http://cfpm.org/jom-emit/ifa.html
Submissions, and queries, are to be directed to the special issue editors:

Centre
for Policy Modelling, 6-Mar-2000.
