As a result of the Workshop on Structural Change, held at the Manchester Metropolitan University, May 20-21 1996, it was decided to set up this Web node for discussion papers and a mailing list (now defunct), with a view to aiding collaborations between the participants and to focus down on a single area that many of the particiants could model using their different techniques. Scott Moss and Mike Artis agreed to construct a simple model of money demand to start the ball rolling. It was thought that this process may result in a follow-up workshop later in the year.
