And perhaps our non-US colleagues can comment on whether this seems to
    be a
    US phenomenon only?<

I highly doubt that this is a phenomenon limited to the US.

So, we'll see what those across the globe say. Then again, they're used
to just finding fault on this side, and not on theirs. It's part of the
human condition. The grass may be greener, therefore, sour.

Firstly, yes we do have the same problem over here, and given the
universality of tha MBA programmes which are the product of the West, and in
particular the USA and UK, i suspect that if it is not already world wide it
    won’t be long.

I tend to disagree with americans when they come out with BS statements like
“you are eihter with us or against us” - an *argument* that would not stand
up in a kindergarten row. I am all for constructive dialogue as we have
useful points to contribute from around the world. I am not anti America. I
don’t agree with many things that go on in the UK. If i feel there is
something wrong in either country i will say so.

    Is Bush’s persecution complex spreading?

    Regards

    Steve,
From the West Riding in the County of Yorkshire, and there ain't no hills
greener any where in the world, whether they are dales, fells or wolds!
