    And I really did mean to go on (exigencies of a hurried morning) to say
    that, now, we need to re-engage that mythscape, or bring it into
    scientific and cultural immediacy, if we _want_ to continue. Otherwise,
    we'll just go on continuing. The time has come to make the earth a
    partner in our survival, not just a resource for it.
