Are you watching the current PBS series on the brain? It explored langauge
and children who had to have the left sides of their brains removed due to
seizures. No coverage of what the removal of the right side might do. (I
assume seizures can occur on either side and require the removal of either
side.)
The program itself is pretty slow and spends much time on the 'human
interest' aspects of the cases it follows, but worth the time nonetheless,
at least for someone who knows as little about brain functioning as I do.
