The meme is not there without its conception or ideation; there is no meaning to be found in the world apart from the sinngebung (meaning-giving) capacity of memetic beings, in the sense that in the absence of the humans who create, transmit, receive, mutate, comprehend and apprehend meaning, nothing would mean anything.
