One may verify that writing or saying an instructing phrase will cause someone hearing or reading it to engage in the same instructed behavior, or one can check to see whether a person instructed with the single meme "clean your room" engages in a number of different cleaning behaviors (laundry, making bed, washing windows, sweeping floor, etc.), whether it is written or spoken.
