    I don't know if they still do it, but the Moonies used to take people who
    agreed to come on one of their "weekend retreats" 40 miles away from the
    nearest town. According to people who described the experience this set
    off a lot of anxiety in them--which is one of the key factors in awakening
    the capture-bonding response.

    The old EST meetings where they would abuse you and not let you go to the
    toilet for many hours tended to set off capture-bonding in some people.

    I have hard copy from a text book about the Moonie program but not an
    Internet pointer. The hard copy is by Dr. Philip Zimbardo. You can find
    considerable about his work on the net though.
