      I agree with your point here !
      Moreover, what happened the US can be described as a result of such an
      attitude.
      Forcing people and therefor their thoughts, ideas, attitudes and their ways
      of behavior into a cultural strait- jacket is no good.
      You end up with memetic determinsm and in the exteme end any society
      will perish if she is not allowed to evolve culturally, socially, politically and
      memetically.

      What the US, in many people their mind is and was trying to do is get
      supreme power over the world. Their views about most anything were the
      right values to follow. Their memes, in a way invaded our brains, but luckily
      we resist and we do still resist.
      We got a heritage to protect and we will.
      We have in a sense not that strong ' WE ' feeling where the Americans are
      so proud of, and we don 't have any desire to become a part of such context.
      Cultural imperalism has maybe its virtue as a certain idea ( the WE feeling
      is stronger than ever), but once you try to lift such a concept out of its
      ' natural ' bounderies it will bounce into others.
