On holiday in Malta my wife met and bought a painting from Ed Galea,
who's work has been bought by US Presidents and senior Soviets over the
years. Along with the painting came a little postcard biography with a
photo of the artist meeting George Bush senior when he was president. As I
was quick to tell my wife, on the 6 degrees game, we both made a massive
leap up the table of links to world leaders. I don't know if Galea met
Gorbachev ever, only the Bush link has firm evidence.
