            Empiricists draw their theories from the observable, measurable
    data that is repeatable under conditions controlled to eliminate
    stray variables. Experimental scientists are empiricists. No one
    has yet to submit an experimental registration or measurement of
    morphic resonance. One who insists that such a creature exists in
    the absence of all empirical evidence is hardly how the OED would
    define an empiricist
