This might be kinda corny, but I just about handed a dollar bill ($1 U.S.
currency) to a convenience store clerk when I noticed some writing in pen
ink along the top and bottom edges. It says:

(bq) "Everyone who receives this will come into a lot of money*" (eq) on the
top edge and (bq) "for this to work write the message onto another bill"
    (eq) on the bottom edge

*- it looks like this word is "money", the penmanship of the person writing
    the message wasn't the greatest

I've been holding onto this dollar bill for a while and have stopped short
of spending it several times, because I thought it nifty. If I continue to
hold onto the bill, this will be a dead end for the putative viral message.
I wonder how many more are out there like it and if there are any variants.

People seem to write all kinds of stuff on money, but this particular
message caught my fancy, probably because I've heard of "mind viruses".
