The solace presented to the living in the postmortem of a loved one is
the primary theatrical event in almost all religions, regardless of
beliefs.
It is here that the actors shine, or not.
IMHO, xianity has a long way to go to present us with valid theatre in
these instances, short of a high mass with a Bach cantata....
But, really, it's long overdue that a critique of the actors, the
scenery, the special effects, and the props, is done, and acted upon, by
the audience.
Critical thinking has many meanings....
