That's rather difficult to believe. Few if any varieties of Buddhism
claim they know every link right back to the Buddha. The closest I'm
aware of is the list of Zen patriarchs, which starts with Bodhidharma,
who supposedly brought Buddhism from India to China in the 6th century
CE, about 1000 years after the Buddha taught. I find that credible,
just, but maybe I'm biased. (Maybe??)
