    Not really, so, keep talking.

    I more meant modern shamans in the sense of _power_ within the tribe,
    since the shaman is usually an ex-officio leader, the power behind the
    scenes, if not the real powerholder in officio.

    Clinton enjoyed shamanistic power, IMHO, although I'm still clueless as
    to why. It does seem as if we need a 'cleansing' of him, though, from the
    cascade of initiatives from the new administration, so I would, in all
    instances, agree with your "shady lying git" synopsis.

    I do wish for an ethical ruler, someday, somehow, with the unfortunate
    knowledge that such a being may never (as one ain't yet) be evolved to
    the role....
