'Meme' is unrequired in this process.

    Thus-

    1) When a certain form of action, knowledge etc., is required, a
kind of resonance propagates through the mind, embodying the selective
requirements, and whatever sings the loudest (most strongly 'hits' all
the 'resonant frequencies') comes to the 'fore' in the mind.

    - and even, last line, not "comes to the 'fore' in the mind", but, 'gets
    propagated in behavior'.

    >2) This mechanism requires that our little memes are independent and
    >self assorting:

    'Self-asserting'...?

    >(so you usually end up finding a doorstop to stop the door, rather
    >than your PC)

I'm not aware of too many processes that would guarantee that actual
doorstops are being used in the mind/body at hardly any moment.
Biological evolution is chockful of PC's and anything else that came to
hand holding open doors. Design is always a dangerous word to even think
    about with evolution....
