Would this "library of memory" have one of them old fashioned card catalogs
in termite infested wooden cabinets or would it be fancy dancy computerized?
Would there be an homunculus who would kick back in an easy chair somewhere
on the frontal lobe to sort through the categories and find something
interesting to read while sipping expresso?
"Memes" could be the dust that issues forth from the edges of the books as
they are pulled from the shelves.
Some pages would be in tatters, mo(u)ldy, yellowed and with lots of
highlight pen marks in the important parts. Some pages would be laminated,
especially the ones with the photos (taken with strong "flashbulbs"). I
remember where I was when the space shuttle Challenger exploded.
P.S.- I hadn't checked my e-mail for a while and expected my box to be full
from the memetics list. There are those ebbs and flows.
Is this cerebral library catalog based on the Dewey decimal system or the
library of Congress system?
